Day 1 - 365 Challenge

     I'm not even going to try and catch up with what i have been doing with my art but... i have given myself a challenge.

     I bought myself a book for my birthday. "A Daily Creativity Journal - 365; Make Something Every Day And Change Your Life!" Well, my life and my art both are in serious need of a change (overhaul) so here goes!
     My Day 1 was actually yesterday - 14 March 2011 I worked fron another book "Wreck This Journal". OMG! Everybody should get a copy!! I really like altered art and in class we have had to work with books that we were suppose to tear up or paint in etc. The 1st challenge in "Wreck" was to break the spine of the book! Aaaggghhhhhh! It was easier for me to tear out a page!
    When in my life did books become scared? I think always. My sister never tore up a book as a small child. She was taught that they were VERY special and therefore could only be handled once she understood their vaule. Consequencly, she could read by the time she was four. My grandchildren, ugh.... the things they do to books! Makes my skin crawl but....
     The idea of destroying a book ON PURPOSE in the name of art... to thus make the book art... what a concept! I'm all in!
